| The word ‘PNEUMA’ is the Greek word meaning ‘spirit’ and
points to the epicenter and core source of the strength
and life of City at the Cross. PNEUMA is the gathering
of City at the Cross as ‘one man’ to engage
in the life and power of the Holy Spirit through governmental
prayer, worship, and the strategic sending of various
components of City at the Cross into kingdom activity.
Governmental Prayer is the warfare expression of the
apostolic. An apostolic church not only prays, petitions,
and intercedes, but declares and decrees the governmental
will of God in the earth as it is prophetically discerned
in the heavens. Governmental Prayer is the prayer of
command, decree, faith, and accuracy.
The Wall is another vital component of PNEUMA. The Wall
is comprised of men and women who have committed to prayer
for 30 minute time slots throughout the day. This ‘wall’ of
prayer is designed to enable the City to be built in
spite of attacks. The key verses upon which The Wall
is established are:
Nehemiah 4.9: “But
we prayed to our God, and because of them we set up
a guard against them day and night.”
Isaiah 62.6-7: “On
your walls O Jerusalem (CATC), I have appointed watchmen;
all day and all night they will never keep silent.
You who remind the Lord, take no rest for yourselves;
and give Him no rest until He establishes and makes
Jerusalem (CATC) a praise in the earth.”
At PNEUMA, specific Battle Lines are given to the watchmen
on the wall for that month ranging from local issues
of health to global issues of kingdom advance in the
nations of the earth.
City Global Funding Initiative is another life-component
of PNEUMA. Each month men and women who are committed
to the governmental prayer expression of City at the
Cross also give of their finances for the advancement
of City Global Community
Purpose Statement

the extension of kingdom purpose in various sectors of

CGCFI Values
Value 1: The unhindered execution of God-ordained global
vision through obedient provision
1 Corinthians 9.9-11: “For it is written in the
Law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle the ox while
he is threshing.” God is not concerned about oxen,
is He? Or is He speaking altogether for our sake? Yes,
for our sake it was written, because the plowman ought
to plow in hope, and the thresher to thresh in hope of
sharing the crops. If we sowed spiritual things in you,
is it too much if we reap material things from you?
Value 2: The heart connection of PNEUMA and The Wall
to a specific provision of a global vision
Philippians 4.16-19: “For even in Thessalonica
you sent a gift more than once for my needs. Not that
I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which
increases to your account. But I have received everything
in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having
received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant
aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.
And my God will supply all your needs according to His
riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Value 3: Sacrificial giving which releases abundant
blessing
Ecclesiastes 11.1: “Cast your bread on the
surface of the waters, for you will find it after many
days.” |
